WOYWW- 108

Well its Wednesday so I'm joining in on whats on your work desk which you can find here http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
I decided to sort out my flowers today. I was running out of room so emptied the packets into card bags, I mainly decided to do this as I was getting fed up of my Prima flowers getting scrunched up in the tubes they came in. Well there you have it my work desk.

Papertake challenge

This card was made for papertakes challenge which can be found here http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/2011/06/sketch-57.html
The stamp was a free gift with this months simply cards magazine (love getting free stamps!!!). I used papermania papers and buttons I got last time I was in Barnsley.

I coloured the image using promarkers and tried my best to get a cloud effect in the background. The sentiment was also with the magazine.

cute

This is a card I made for the challenge here http://dianasstampingchallenges.blogspot.com/
I punched a circle out of blue paper and dry embossed the edges to create the button, I punched four holes and inked the edges of the button in blue ink. I didn't have any blue string so I coloured plain using the same blue ink pad I used to ink the button. I stuck the button onto forever friends paper using foam pads.
I added "cute as a" to the top left of the card using doodlebug simply sweet rub-ons (sorry you can't see it very clearly)

New baby

This is the card I made for this weeks challenge at Passion for Promarkers which can be found here http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/
The stamp is by woodware and is coloured using promarkers in the following colours: china blue, pastel blue, denim blue and blue pearl. I used forever friends papers and papermania papers. The letters are papermania and coloured in promarkers.

I added pale sparkly blue buttons to the pram wheels and gems to each of the corners of the panel. I stamped a hand print to the right side of the card.

A blue piece of gingham ribbon with a bow finishes the card off.
I am also entering this card into the daring cardmakers challenge which can be found here http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/
Something old: hand print stamp
Something new: the pram stamp
Something blue: that's kind of obvious!
I couldn't manage the something borrowed

Vintage

Another vintage inspired card made with items found in my stash.

CPS challenge

This is the card I made to enter this weeks CPS challenge which can be found here http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/
The stamp is papermania build a cake, the sentiment is personal impressions and the paper is from the forever friends black and gold. I used a tent fold card blank made from Kraft card stock (loving this stuff at the minute!!!)
I stamped each of the cake elements onto black card using gold ink and embossing powder before cutting out. I tied ribbon round the lower tier of the cake and added a bow then attached it to white linen effect card using foam pads. I then mounted this onto black card before adding to the paper panel.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment using gold ink and cut out with a 1" circle punch. I added gold gems to the corners of the cake panel.

Spring

Hi this was a quick card I made.
Im not sure where the stamp is from (or remember buying it lol). This is my first attempt at a vintage inspired card. I think the paper is Papermania and I added some lace to the side.

I tied a knot using a ribbon from my stash which I think I got in a K & Co set.

Glamour Puss

This is a card I created for the colour create challenge which you can find here http://colourcreatechallenge.blogspot.com/

I used the papermania pampered pets range for this card. I stamped the cat in tuxedo black memento ink and coloured her using promarkers.

I matted the cat onto a pale blue patterned paper and then onto silver card before adding blue gems. The base card was covered in a different paper from the same pack.
I added blue sparkly ribbon to the bottom of the card then attached a die cut sentiment ,reading glamour puss, using foam pads. The panel with the cat was attached using double sided tape.

Shopping!!!

I made this card to enter the challenge over at Cupcake Crafts which you can find here http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com/
I used a stamp set that was free with an issue of Creativity! and papers from Papermania can't remember what the black and white papers were called but the stripey pink is Boysenberry. I stamped the lady in tuxedo black memento ink and coloured her with promarkers.

The bags were stamped again in memento ink and coloured with promarkers. I then cut them out leaving a small white border before adding them with foam pads.

I also matted the sentiment onto black card and roughly cut it out to leave a black border, this was attached using foam pads.

I added papermania gems to the corners of the lady panel and to selected flower centers.

Whats on your workdesk? Wednesday 107

Hi just remembered I wanted to join in on this so at the minute all that's on my desk is the mess from a previous card I made!
To take part visit http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/

CPS challenge

This is the card I made today to enter in http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/ which was following a layout. I decided to flip the layout as I didn't like the look of the machine being on the left hand side.
I chose a Kraft card blank and basic grey papers which I matted onto black card.  I stamped and embossed the sewing machine in gold and coloured it in using a black promarker. I coloured the fine details of the machine in gold fine liner and added gold gems to the center of the flowers.
I added 3 buttons to the left hand side of the card threaded with black cotton and attached using glossy accents, 4 fuchsia gems in the corner of the floral paper finish the card off.

Passion for promarkers- Park life and Papertake weekly challenge

Hi, this is a card  I made today. I'm entering it into the papertake weekly and passion for promarkers challenge which is park life. I couldn't find anything in my stash to show what most people class as park life so I chose a dragonfly and flowers (you get flowers in parks. Right?). I stamped the dragonfly, which is dimension fourth, and coloured using: tulip yellow, lilac, amethyst and buttercup promarkers.
I die-cut the sizzix flower using my cuttlebug and the papers were forever friends springtime and papermania lemon sorbet. I paper pieced the dragonfly's body also using lemon sorbet paper. I decoupaged the top wings using glossy accents for a bit more dimension. The flower was edged in amethyst promarker then stuck to the card, I drew on the dragonfly's antenna before sticking it onto the flower. I then drew a border and added a lilac stone to each corner and a purple one to the center of the flower.

For the sentiment I used making memories letter stickers, again coloured with amethyst promarker, and papermania foam stickers which I coloured with tulip yellow promarker.

Tilda

Another card for another challenge, this time its for the just Magnolia site. The challenge is paper piecing.
I attempted masking for the first time with this card, and I'm fairly happy with the results. The whole image is stamped onto white linen effect paper and the sky was created using a blue ink pad and a washing up sponge! I coloured in the leaves and grass with promarkers. I paper pieced Tildas sleeves and wellies using a free Nitwit paper pack I got with a magazine.

The ground Tildas standing on was created by strips of paper (again a free Nitwit pack) with stitching added to give it a patchwork look. I attatched the pannel to a piece of Kraft card and then a green paper similar to her wellies. I stuck a piece of white lace to the middle of the Kraft card blank before attatching the Tilda pannel with foam pads.3 flowers with gems and a lace bow finish the card.

Ahoy!

I have done this pirate wobble card hoping to enter it into Daring cardmakers challenge (if I can figure out how to do it lol).

I drew round a plate onto Kraft card before cutting out to create the wobble base card, I then drew on
the lines for the effect of wooden planks. The portholes were created with a 1" circle punch using the same
card as the base, I then used a smaller circle punch for the windows.
The pirate stamp is one by Woodware coloured using promarkers, I decoupaged his hat and added a gold trim to his hat using a fineliner.

I stamped the skull onto white linen effect card and coloured the surrounding area with promarkers before cutting it into a flag shape. I then poked two holes and rimmed them with gold fineliner to create the eyelets. This was then attatched to the mast and stuck onto the card.

And this is the finished card in motion! Hope you like it.

a little bird

I have had this set for about 2 or 3 months and finally opened it yesterday to play with. The stamp is by Woodware (If I remember correctly). The inside reads "it's your birthday", there's no pic of this as the camera wouldn't pick it up clearly.
I stamped the branch and greeting using brown memento ink and coloured the leaves using a green promarker. The bird was stamped twice using the same ink onto card stock, coloured using promarkers and decoupaged the little birds wing. I then matted the picture onto Kraft cardstock and then onto a papermania paper. For the finishing touch I doodled a border using a brown fine liner and attached it to a papermania Kraft card blank.

sewing

This was my first play with the personal impressions stamp set (sorry can't remember what it's called!!). I stamped the sewing machine on black card and embossed it in gold like the old fashioned machines. The sentiment is also personal impressions. I added a piece of black ribbon and some faux stitching to finish it off.

For the flowers I coloured 2 in with a black promarker and embossed a pattern onto the larger one, adding gems for the final touch. Again this was the first time I tried changing the appearance of paper flowers and I will definitely be trying this again! I had run out of cream card stock for the mannequin so I used a gold ink pad and cotton wool to add a hint of colour to it.

invites

I was asked to make some invites for a fan of manga comic 'Deathnote'. With a bit of research I managed to discover what it was!!!
